100% safe drinking water Treatment Plant

The Japanese water treatment plant was donated to our hospital as a matching grant project (MG# 70299) by Rotary foundation in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Shimodate, Japan (District 2820) and host club Rotary Club of Kasthamandap, Nepal (District 3292). The plant is able to dispense 100% safe drinking water. The unit is able to eliminate all kinds fo bacteria, viruses and fungi. The water is currently being used for patients, hospital staff and visitors for drinking purposes. Some of the water is diverted to the Operation theatre and is used in the autoclave machines for sterilization of instruments. The water treatment plant was inaugurated on July 23, 2010 by the Japanese ambassador MR. H.E. Tatsuo Mizuno and District Governorr of Rotary District 3292 Nepal Mr. Ratna Man Shakya. Many other Rotarians from various clubs and hospital staffs were present during the occasion. The Cost of the plant is US$ 15,000. The plant was inaugurated on July 23, 2010 by the Japanese ambassador Mr. H.E. Tatsuo Mizuno and District Governor of Rotary District 3292 Mr. Ratna Man Shakya. The water treatment plant provides 100% safe drinking water free from bacteria, virus and fungus. The plant can generate 1200 liters of pure water per hour. The water generated by this plant is useful for drinking purpose for the patients as well as the staff. Also the same water is using in cleaning surgical instruments so that they are very clean and without any residue.
